VPMC — Veterinary Practice Management Consultants — exists to help independent companion-animal practice owners in India build practices that are calmer, healthier and more profitable; to help practising veterinarians find the right practice and the right next step; and to help students start their careers with a plan. Three readers, one conviction: good medicine deserves a good business and a good career behind it.
Veterinary college teaches medicine and surgery. It does not teach pricing, hiring, payroll, client communication, or what to do when your best para-vet resigns on a Monday morning. Yet the moment you put your name on the door, all of it became your job — usually learned alone, by trial and expensive error.
Meanwhile, organised groups and corporate chains bring professional management to every clinic they open. The independent owner competes against that with no management team at all. We think that's a fixable problem — and that independence is worth fixing it for.
So VPMC brings the owner-clinician the same quality of management thinking, in a form built for the realities of an Indian practice: practical, peer-tested, and honest about what actually works.
A practice owned by the vet who works in it serves animals and clients differently. That model deserves to survive — and thrive.
Pricing, systems and team-building are skills, not talents. Any owner willing to work at them can master them.
The person with the most useful answer to your problem is usually another owner who solved it last year. Our job is to put you in the same room.
No jargon, no miracle frameworks, no noise. Just what works in real practices, said plainly.
"Good medicine deserves a good business behind it."

I've spent my whole working life inside companion-animal practice in India — first as a clinician, then as the owner of a busy multi-vet clinic. I know what it is to love the medicine and still lie awake over the business.
Nobody teaches us that part. We graduate ready for surgery and get handed a payroll, a rent agreement, and a team looking to us for answers we were never given. I built VPMC to be the organisation I needed in those years: honest teaching, real numbers, and advice from people who have actually stood where you're standing.
Everything here — the diagnostic, the course library, consulting, the talent desk — exists for one purpose: to make independent practice a great business to own, a great place to work, and a great place to begin.
